Signum Coffee is a micro-roastery based out of my home in Lincoln, Nebraska. You won't find any fresher coffee around because all Signum coffee is roasted-to-order in small batches for optimal freshness.

You get to choose which origin of coffee you want, the exact amount you want, and the roast level you want.

Freshness is guaranteed with the "whole bean" option. I strongly encourage grinding coffee within 15 minutes of brewing as grinding coffee significantly reduces its shelf life. I do offer the pre-ground option for those who want it; however, freshness is not guaranteed with that option.

What's a signum?

A signum is a seal of approval that you put on something that you are proud of, like an artist's signature on a masterpiece. Signum Coffee is named thus because I take pride in the quality of each bag of coffee. Therefore each bag bears my signum.
What started as a mild curiosity and a $15 popcorn air popper has grown into a passion with a vision.

My first sip of coffee was motivated by desperation during my sophomore year of college. Everyone told me how great coffee is, but I couldn't see it. I just drank the cheapest stuff I could find to survive the strenuous demands of college. Then, one of my friends pointed out the obvious for me. "It's because you're drinking stale coffee." I looked at the roast date on the bag, and sure enough, it had been almost a year since it was roasted and ground!

When I tried fresh, high-quality coffee for the first time, I saw what everyone was talking about. That's when the curiosity began. I started doing my own research, buying new roasting equipment, attending workshops, and experimenting like a scientist.
The curiosity turned into a passion, and then the passion gained vision. I often shared my coffee with friends and family who eventually nudged me to consider selling my coffee. Now I am no natural entrepreneur, but I do enjoy sharing my love of fresh, high-quality coffee! And thus was born Signum Coffee.
